Some Big News! - We're Moving!!

We're moving! I'm **SO** excited about it too! We're moving out to Hunter Road. We're going to be above the Cutting Up Salon! We'll be taking over the entire top floor. This next month will be very hectic! So much to do! So if I'm delayed in returning calls or emails I promise I will catch up! We are still shooting and taking appointments in August! The new place we hope to open 1st of September. I appreciate your patience!!

The coolest part about this move is this beautiful historic home is my husbands Great Grandmother's old house! It's been many many years since his family owned the home but nonetheless the family connection makes it special to us! We are creating all kinds of beautiful shooting places! We'll have a new natural light area as well! I will be sure to post some progress photos and document the transformation! My own personal stylist also works in this salon so we'll have some specials for Hair and Makeup for portraits! How cool is that!! :D She's awesome!!

We'll have a big open house in September! With lots of door prizes, snacks and drinks! And some special promotions!! More on that to come too! I'm also going to have another contest regarding the move so stay tuned!!

I have a few more blogs I need to catch up on too!! I know you guys are waiting! I am almost done processing those orders! I will get them up soon!

Girls Just Want to Have Fun :D

You know having girlfriends is really awesome. I know I love mine!! Good friends are so hard to find!! I had the pleasure of photographing these beauties! They're all childhood friends who managed even though they all live far apart to get together one weekend for some good times!! I think it's great that they've been able to stay in touch!! We had a great session and cranked up the music and took some really fun portraits! It makes me feel the need for a girls night!!

I really am a vampire!!

So those of you who know me personally know that I'm a bit of a freak. Or at least I was. :) I have issues being cold. I am ALWAYS freezing. Like ALL the time. My favorite thing to do is get in my hot car because it's the only time I ever actually feel warm!! Insane I know!

I also am an ICE freak. ( yes, even though I'm cold) I choose restaurants based on the quality of their ice. LOL It has been a true compulsion for about 3.5 years. I figured ( because I googled! HaHa) it was because my iron was low and I had been prescribed iron supplements before but they make me feel icky so I just didn't take them. Not so smart.

So I had some yearly checkup blood work done and it came back all kinds of whacky. They did another test for my iron levels and it was crazy low. 100 is normal. 35 is low and mine was 12!!!! Yes!! 12!! Soooo for the last few weeks I've been going to the hospital to get infused with iron. Considering I never sleep AND I have this low iron it's amazing I get anything done at all!!

I am on the mend though!! It's the weirdest thing. All the sudden I am hot. I really can't remember the last time I was hot like this. It's actually kinda freaking me out. I keep asking my husband if our house is always this hot! He says yes and you never let me turn the air on! LOL Yeah we're so buying a fan for our office!! I'm also no longer craving ice. Bryan is shocked at how much ice is in our freezer. I use to eat ice all day long!! There was never any ice! And now I don't want it. Which again is SO wierd. I use to crave it so badly.

Soo! Moral of the story!! Follow your doctors orders!! Also listen to your body! I'm so going to do my best to follow doctors orders!

Of course I took pictures! Because blogs without photos are lame!! That and it wouldn't be me if I didn't document everything!!!

An afternoon in the sun!

I can't believe summer is almost over! Enrollment has started! And school is just around the corner! A few weekends ago we went out to visit some friends in Kingsland! They took us on a boat ride! Which Guy had never really been on. (The ferry doesn't count!! LOL) Guy had SUCH a good time! It was great to see them. It had been a long time. Guy also had a great time playing with their kiddos!! I think he has a bit of a crush!! Just wants to share a few fun photos! Here you go Mom!! Aren't they cute!

Sweet Baby Jack Jack

I am still behind on blogging!! Like Always!! I wanted to make sure to blog my sweet baby Jack Jack! Okay soooo maybe he's not a baby anymore!! And he's not "mine" cause his mommy wouldn't let me keep him!! LOL and I am SO not ready to think of him as a big boy!! Jack Jack in his true style was super cute!! His beautiful sister Jena joined in for some really fun portraits!! Happy Birthday little man!!

Trash The Prom Dress!

I am all about trying new things and having fun during senior portrait sessions. This year we've added a new option to our senior sessions! That is the Trash the Prom Dress option!! Well... we don't actually have to totally "trash it"! It would make me really happy though if you're not afraid to get your dress dirty or wet! Because then we can be extra creative and come up with some awesome locations and ways to photograph you! Good Will and Thrift Stores are GREAT places to go and find old dresses too! So you don't have to trash your actual prom dress! ;) These special sessions are available now and can be added on to any location session! Call the studio today for more information! 512-396-2001

Meet the beautiful Rachael from New Braunfels we had a really fun session this spring! She was a great model and up for any of my crazy ideas! I love the contrast of her red dress with the locations we shot in! Here are a few of my favorites! Thanks Rachael!

Jeni & Brian - LakeWay Wedding

Meet the lovely couple Jeni & Bryan! They're from Dallas and were looking for an awesome vacation place to have their wedding. They choose the beautiful Lakeway Resort and Spa! Their friends and family all seemed to love it! Megan from My Own Fairy Godmother did a great job coordinating the wedding! It had an asian theme! I loved all the hanging laterns. This wedding Troy and I switched it up and I followed the groom and he followed the bride. Which let me just say I had a great time! These guys were so much fun! We laughed a lot! It was a beautiful day and a great wedding! Congratulations Jeni & Brian!! Have a wonderful time on your honeymoon!

The day started out with some Football in the pool! They guys were having a blast! I'm not actually sure who won. Both families enjoy the Texas sun!

Brian with his Iphone! He works for ATT. I was hoping he had the new one because I wanted to see it! But no such luck!

Striking a pose!

The Handsome Groom

His Gorgeous Bride!

A portrait in the hall I love the leading lines in this image! Jeni's dress was amazing too. It was perfect on her!Isn't she stunning!

With Dad! Jeni's bouquet was beautiful!

The ceremony was lovely!

Of course the kiss!

Now it was alot of work to get those girls in high heels up on those terraces but it sure was worth it for the cool shot!

I really wanted a piece of this chocolate cake.

I love cakes with real flowers. They're my favorite kind of cake topper!

LOL It looks like we might have had a smash cake but they played nice!

Check out the single girls! They all want to catch the bouquet!

And see the boys! It only looks like one actually tried to catch the garter! LOL

It was a beautiful wedding! We had a blast!

Stogie at the San Antonio Dog Show

My good friend Melissa was in town on Sunday for the San Antonio Dog Show. Melissa is a photographer in Dallas and if you ever visit her blog you'll see some of the cutest photos of her babies! Check out the "crazy dog lady" section! Stogie is a Havanese and he's a dog celebrity! At least I think so! He's been to Westminster twice! Which as far as I'm concerned means he's the most famous dog I know! He also has his own website/blog!

We had never been to a dog show before and let me just say WOW! LOL It's a culture all to it's own. It was a lot of fun to people watch there. You can find pretty much every walk of life at a dog show! And the booths! Holy cow there are some cute dog clothing and jewelry! There were dogs beds, food bowls, personalized outfits, and costumes, special treats, pretty much all things dog can be found there!

It was pretty funny to see all the columns in the Convention center covered in plastic wrap! LOL Yep!! There was a lot of dog spraying going on! It was interesting though that these dogs were SO quiet and well behaved. I can tell you now if I brought any of my dogs they'd be barking the entire time. These show dogs seem pretty much to be unaffected by each other.

So anyway Shelby and I went to watch and I took some photos of Stogie in the ring. Melissa has to hide when she goes to shows because if Stogie smells her he won't cooperate for the handler so Melissa has to watch from afar! He will also stop and pose for the camera!! So I tried to be quiet!

Stogie won the first day but he didn't the second. Which sucks because a "puppy bitch" won. LOL yep it's funny how the word "bitch" is used pretty much in every converstation we heard there! LOL

Here are some picture of Stogie doing his thing with Lois his handler. The last one is Stogie riding in Guy's booster seat on the way to the airport. I told Guy that a doggie road in his car seat and he didn't believe me so I showed him the photo this morning and he said, "Hey! He doesn't have a seat belt on!" They probably sell dog carseats too!!

So Congratulations to Stogie and Melissa!! It was great seeing you guys!!
