Emily & Jr

Ahhh the joys of a toddler! LOL Here are some images of Emily and Jr. I've photographed them several times now and always end up with some really funny awesome images. Emily was a trooper! She has the most beautiful long curly hair! As one can tell Jr. is really walking and not the least bit interested in staying put. Things to do and people to see! This is one of my new favorite photos. Even though you can't see his face it perfectly discribes what life with a toddler is like. I really love photos that tell stories!!

The Bunnies Are Coming!

Due to popular request I will be doing bunny portraits again with real bunnies!! I am designing the set right now and will get the promotion out ASAP!! It will be March 20th - March 24th! I am already booking appointments for those days so space is limited! More information to come!! :)

And Baby Makes Three!

Another beautiful maternity! You know I really do believe it's true... Pregnant women do have a "glow" to them. This is the beautiful Melissa! Daddy loves football and already has big plans for his little one!! Here are some favorites from our session! I love when clients are open to a more artist approach to their portraits. I always shoot the "classic" images but after that we played and created truly some beautiful art. It was a great session!! I hope to meet their baby soon! Well not too soon! LOL When he's ready!!

Baby Kaide

Sweet baby Kaide! Kaide is new to our studio. She's so cute with her big blue eyes and her gentle smile. She's only three months old but already very long! She was so cooperative! We got many great images of her! I created our classic "Kissable's" Collage of her. I love to capture all the expressions they start to make at three months and the details of how small their hands are how tiny their feet are. They just grow up too fast! I love to document these changes! I also loved her "Ohhhh" face! She made the sweetest Cooing sounds!!

Coburn Family

I promise I will learn to spell it right!! LOL

Meet the beautiful Coburn Family. They're expecting their third baby! And these boys are going to make great big brothers!! Again... another beautiful belly!! We did some family portraits and some maternity. Robin has beautiful red hair which you can tell in these black and white portraits but I'll be curious to know if her new addition will have it too! :D I LOVE red headed babies!!

Devin is one!

Sweet baby Devin is turning one! Let me just say I have never seen a baby walk as well as Devin. He's been walking since I think 8 months his mom told me. He doesn't toddle... he can run! We did our cake collage with him and he wasn't too thrilled about the idea of sitting there!! He has places to go and things to see you see!! We still managed to get super cute collage of him playing with cake! Before the cake session we shot some quick ones of him with this blue background. I just love these shots of him... with his blue eyes and his sweet smile!! My ovaries are twitching!!

Beautiful Bride in the Dallas Cold!

So I don't have a wedding blog on my wedding website. It's on my to do list!! But I had such a good time shooting these portraits I wanted to share them! Incase you didn't know aside from family portraiture I also photograph weddings. Weddings take me back to my journalism days! I love to tell stories with photos. I wish I had more time to do more weddings but with my portrait sessions on Saturday's I'm usually pretty booked. So I try to accept only one wedding a month to make sure I have enough time for everyone. Weddings are a nice change of pace too... Weddings are always high energy and exciting. It really is special to get to go through the biggest day in someones life with them. I have a shooting partner based in Austin. A fellow photographer named Troy. Troy usually follows the grooms story and I photograph the bride. We cover the salon, the getting ready, the portraits, the ceremony and of course the recpetion. We work well as a team and our styles compliment each other.

So Saturday Feb. 10th I went to Dallas with Troy for a Bridal session. It was soooo cold. This is the beautiful Nicole. She was a trooper! It really was freezing!! She never complained. It's funny when I was shooting I really wasn't that uncomfortable because I was too busy to notice but as soon as we were done it really hit me!! Thank goodness for heated car seats!! It was a long day we drove up there and back in the same day. It was worth it though our location was beautiful. There were hardly any people out either so it was nice not to have to wait for people to move out of our shots. LOL I only wish we had some SUN!!! I love shooting in afternoon light. We're excited to be photographing her wedding in March. I hope we'll have some great warm weather for that!!

So here are some favorites from Nicole's bridals!

Blog Comments

I so appreciate your emails regarding my blogs!! They make me want to blog more!! I also wanted to mention that there is a place to leave comments at the end of each blog!! So please feel free to leave comments there too!

Jack Jack

Sweet baby Jack Jack! How I love Jack Jack and how he smiles at me soooo big at me when there isn't a camera in my hands!! LOL Jackson is another one of my babies that I've photographed several times. He is mister tough and tumble too! He's all over the place and has no fear!! Here are some favorites from our last session. He has the most beautiful blue eyes! And next time he WILL smile at me!! I can't wait to do his cake session and birthday invitations!

Little Girls In White Dresses

Usually when I photograph siblings either two things happen... they're extremely sweet to each other or you'd think I asked them eat spinach when I ask them to give each other a hug! LOL Harper and Shelby are sooo sweet to each other. I love little girls in white dresses! The only thing missing was the ocean! I've actually been thinking about offering some beach sessions this summer because I do get requests for them. Just wish we lived closer to a beach! Although what a perfect excuse to take a mini vacation!! Must think some more on that! Here are some favorites from this session!

Happy Valentines!

I was going to try and wait and post these images on Valentine's Day but I'm pretty booked this week and I knew I'd forget to! So since I've been blogging a bunch tonight I thought I'd go ahead and share my son's Valentine card. I made these cards for him to share with his classmates. Isn't he adorable! Okay so maybe I'm a wee bit biased but he's so stinking cute I can hardly stand it. This is a two sided card... here is the front and the back. I hope everyone has a very happy Valentine's Day with those that they love best!

Laurel, Ben & Daniel

Another new maternity session! This is the beautiful Laurel! I first met her when I photographed her son Daniel. Daniel is the orginial cupid baby!! (The first baby I shot with my baby wings). He's now getting so big! Laurel bless her heart came in at 37 weeks for her session. I know she was uncomfortable! But she looked beautiful! :) She has some awesome long hair and so we made that part of the portraits. As I was photographing her I kept thinking... she looked like the famous painting by Sandro Botticelli "The Birth of Venus." It was a great session! I can't wait to meet their new son!! Who should have arrived on Friday!! Congratulations Laurel, Ben and Big Brother Daniel!

One More Of Linda

The beautiful Linda came in to pick up her portraits and said I could share this one from her session! It's another one of my new all time favorites! I must say that I've shot about six maternities in the last few weeks and every single one of them have had amazingly BEAUTIFUL bellies. Not a single stretch mark!! It's so not fair!! Of course if they happen to be like me and had stretch marks then we'd retouch them out....but none the less it just amazes me to have so many beautiful bellies to get to photograph! They all must have really good genes!! I'm jealous!!

Brayden Henry

Brayden is a new baby to the studio. I had the honor of shooting his First Year Portraits. We did one of our popular collages with him. He has the cutest smile and was soooo good. He would smile on demand!! He was such a flirt too! One thing I love about his images were that you can really see his little bottom teeth! He's got four of them! Brayden is the cousin to Taylor (she's in a blog from January) we hope to see more of this cutie in the coming year!

Baby Jacob

Meet handsome baby Jacob. I first met his mom Lisa when we did her maternity sesson. Jacob is so sweet! We had a really fun session with him. At 9 months he's all over the place! He'll be walking so soon. I love the images of him in his blue jean overalls. Overalls have to be my favorite outfit for little boys. I like to put my son in them too! Now that he's four though he gets pretty annoyed with them! LOL Here are some favorites from our session. It was hard to pick just a few because he did so well!!
