NEW BLOGS COMING!

I promise!! I've been at a photography conference the last few days... and now I'm behind! I know... seems like every other week I'm blogging about not having a chance to blog!! Christmas is in full swing at the studio and we've been crazy super busy!!

I almost have the Winter Wonderland charity set completed too!! So new blogs and new announcements coming soon! AND it's about time for a blog contest!! It will be something really cool too! Must think of what kind of contest to do!!

My Birthday Boy and The Cake Drama!

I'm having a had time believing I have a five year old! LOL I'm really not sure where the time has gone! Monday was Guy's birthday and on Sunday we had a small party to celebrate. It was fun and he had a great time. There were some funny well... not so funny at the time incidences like "the cake." Now even though I'm a working mom and work well over 80 hours a week I do make an attempt to do "some" things homemade like cakes. It's my "thing" I ALWAYS make his cake. I love to bake. Well let me just prefix this with... it's really not my fault my baby's cake is all jacked up. LOL Well, it is but I have a good excuse.

Friday night I ended up working on an emergency slideshow for the AWFC gala. Which meant I couldn't clean our house on Friday night and bake the cake on Saturday morning before the Gala like I had planned to. I ended up baking the cake on Sunday morning before his party and well ...I thought the cake had cooled "enough" to ice. I made homemade butter icing too but it just wasn't stiff enough and the cake was too warm and my icing just melted. **sigh** it was a sad sad cake. I had bought some Ben10 Cake toppers to add to the cake too. It was just a mess.

SOOOOOO HEB to the rescue. My mom had made a trip to HEB to get some last minute items and I caught her while she was still in the parking lot and asked her to go back in and buy a cake. Sooo My Mom saved the DAY!! Now I did manage to bake some Ben 10 cupcakes for his friends at school for his actual birthday on Monday and they turned out okay. Even though the cake was really ugly it still tasted good. So now I'm back on my low carb diet!
